Flights at Baton Rouge Metro Airport were brought to a halt this morning after **thousands of bald eagles** covered the main runway and surrounding aircraft. Workers filmed from a distance as the birds perched on wings and stood wing-to-wing across the tarmac, leaving planes totally trapped.
