23 Parachute Engineer Regiment joined forces with Royal Air Force 28 Squadron this week for an underslung load masterclass at Rock Barracks in Woodbridge. The Chinooks moved the framework and decking of Medium Girder Over Bridge which the sappers then built. The training was part of a week-long focus on helicopter skills for 16 Air Assault Brigade units, working alongside three Chinooks to practise the full range of helicopter skills from casualty evacuation to moving troops. | British Army

The airborne sappers of 23 Parachute Engineer Regiment have sharpened their soldiering skills on a demanding battle camp. The training in the harsh conditions of Sennybridge in South Wales has seen troops progress from testing their marksmanship with the SA80-A2 assault rifle to practising live fire attacks by day and night, in both rural and urban environments.
