Highlights from last week's Sovereign's Parade. HRH The Princess Royal inspected the Officer Cadets, presented the prizes and gave a speech as Her Majesty The Queen's representative. After 44 weeks of intense training, the next young officers will join Regiments and Corps across the British Army. There were 27 international countries represented on the parade by Officer Cadets, who will now return to their own Armed Forces and take up their first leadership appointments. Well done to all. #milit

Yesterday at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst the All Arms International Pace Sticking Competition took place. The Royal Military Academy Lords team won just in front of the Army Training Centre (Pirbright) team. Each event participant used a pace stick - a large, cane-like instrument carried by Army drill sergeants, split and hinged to allow for exact measurements as soldiers step ahead. The individual must turn the stick, measuring exactly 30 inches, to match the beat of their footsteps. W
