KPRC 2 and reporter Re’Chelle Turner are working to get more answers from Fort Bend Independent School District after the district voted to close seven elementary schools as part of a plan to address its growing budget deficit.

No injuries or fatalities were reported, according to a spokesperson for the Fort Bend County Homeland Security & Emergency Management department, who said no evacuation orders had been issued for nearby residents.

According to officials, the derailment happened along Highway 90 near OakBend Hospital, within the city limits of Richmond and Rosenberg, blocking all city crossings.

Dennis Arguello-Acosta, who is facing state charges, was arrested after federal authorities received an anonymous tip regarding his location, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said.

The Department of Homeland Security said the man they arrested is the suspect in the deadly hit-and-run, but Houston police and the Harris County District Clerk say no charges have been filed in that case yet.
