"This was during the midnight launch of the Switch 2. I was in the store, in line and right about to hand the cashier my card so that I could preorder one of the remaining Switch 2s that they had before the midnight launch officially started. It was close to the time to close the doors and the manager came out and kicked everyone out of the store and would not let me complete the transaction. When I asked him to just let me finish, he argued with me for longer than it would have taken to ring out the sale. I get that it was a stressful time and I have worked retail before, but this is no way to treat customers that willing to drop a great deal of cash on a system, games, and reupping their Gamestop Pro membership. Do not give this store or their manager any of your cash, you are not valued as a customer here."

"Trevor (Morse Road) was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Zero stars. I would recommend going anywhere else."

"I have to say the girl/man who worked on the register the day when I came in to trade my switch controller that we bought at the store that day but was the wrong controller for my system was super sketchy and rude AF this thing thought a brand new controller was worth $8.96 I had paid $38.99 for it that day then we wanted to by the right controller and it or they/them said it was $40.00 I then looked at target at the same thing across the street before because I didn't want to pay that much for a controller when target had no unbrand controllers I went back Inside to your store and told they/them I would by the controller and it told me it was $49.99 I'm almost certain this young man lady thing just scammed me and I will never be back to a GameStop again this was an experience I won't wish on anyone also they/them she-man itsir herhis looking things lack of\nCustomer service and respectful behavior was intolerable"

"They refuse to answer the phone. Don't waste your time. The employees are lazy. They can't wait to get home on the PC and play their game and eat ice cream. Don't go there."

GameStop as usual is wrong. The console wars started long before the 6th generation. As much as I hate to give GameStop any credit at all. PlayStation vs Xbox was the last real console rivalry so the last real war so everyone posting stuff like this is missing the point more then GameStop would be.
GameStop is leaning heavily to trading cards as part of it's future strategy, according to CEO Ryan Cohen. The news comes as a part of larger strategy shift to buy and hold a lot of bitcoin. Cohen has said that continuing to focus on trading cards, including the incredibly popular recent Pokémon card sets, is a "natural extension" of GameStop's business. He added that the collectibles could ...
This. $125 is a rip-off for a v1 Switch. Not that I ever trade-in my consoles anyway. I'm going to move my OG Switch dock to the living room and try to force myself to get back into RingFit Adventure to rage against the damage that middle age is doing to my health.
The higher value is the Pro value ($25 membership required). Didn't think I'd ever step into a Game Stop again but I guess I will, one last time, since my PS5 has been collecting dust I thought I might as well get ~$300 cash out of it while I can. Since they are offering cash/Master card...
On Saturday, Dec. 6, GameStop will have its first-ever "Trade Anything Day," where people can trade in anything they want, with some restrictions, for store credit, GameStop told USA TODAY in an email. The object customers choose to trade in must fit in a 20x20x20 box, and customers can trade...
Gamestop has always done right by me personally and i have alot of fantastic memories from their tbh. I remember going to a tournament they held locally for smash brothers brawl on release night with my dad, my brother, and me and i had an absolute blast meeting all these gamer dudes/girls.
I feel bad for people that work there but GameStop has been horrible for the gaming community and collectors. If they treated games and people that collected seriously, they could transition into a retro shop. You're talking about the same shop that literally throws away Nintendo DS, 3DS and PSP cases to save space though.
